Hi! My name is Jennifer Ward. I'm a recent college graduate from SUNY Purchase College with a B.A. in Journalism. I'm located in NYC. I am going on to continue my education and receive my M.A. in journalism at the Craig Newmark Graduate School of Journalism, expected in December 2026.

I do freelance reporting with Tomorrow's Vision, and am currently an editorial intern with Fast Company. I was the editor-in-chief of The Purchase Phoenix, which is Purchase College's official news publication. I am the winner of the Mike McNickle journalism award in the School of Humanities 2023, have spoken at multiple panels with Purchase College, have spoken at multiple of Purchase College's accepted students' days representing the journalism department, and have been a teacher's assistant. I have been on the Dean's List multiple times and spoke at the Sixth Annual Humanities Symposium. I have been an editorial intern at Westchester Magazine and a reporting/editing intern with The Purchase Phoenix. I have also been a Voting Entry Operator with the Associated Press during the 2024 Presidential election. I also held the role of Managing Editor at The Purchase Phoenix before being promoted. I also have interned with Schneps Media as a media journalist.

I am a rapid thinker on my feet, very sociable and I love meeting new people. I have excellent collaboration skills with people and can handle multiple tasks daily. I have excellent interpersonal communication skills and outstanding organizational skills. I love writing in print media and can't wait to see where the future takes me!
